Daniel Bagley was a Washington State pioneer, Methodist pastor, businessman, and civic leader. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1818 and died in Seattle in 1905. His wife, Susannah Rogers Whipple, was born in Massachusetts in 1819 and died in Seattle in 1913. Bagley became a minister of the Methodist Church in 1842, and in 1852 he was chosen by its board of missions to represent its teachings in Oregon Territory.
